Re: plasmashell oomk

Hi, I previously mentioned, but maybe it didn't reach the list... but I'm not using any special applets. Three monitors, three panels, three desktops, three task bars, three system trays, and three menus. I could create a fresh user, but the entire install is pretty new and I'm not sure how it would help, unless something major broke (in the config?) between the past couple debian sid plasma updates.

I've got plasma-desktop 4.6.4 installed and its been getting oomkilled

Is this a known problem?

No.

Still getting it :( and cpu use issues.

As implied in Lisandro's reply, plasmashell acts in many ways as an umbrella
for the plasma applets (plasmoids). Since we can't see this behaviour, the
most likely problem is that you are using a buggy non-standard applet that
causes the oom. Please try to reproduce the issue either with a new user
(without adding any new applet/desktop widget) or try removing some for your
user.

Happy hacking,
