NTP is working fine on every other machine, and it worked on the machine that was failing when I had Kubuntu installed on it. The problem was "fixed" by changing /etc/ntp.conf so that NTP now gets the time from my main local server. So the time is now accurate on my main desktop machine, but I still don't know why it wasn't working before; life is too short to investigate the issue any further :-( Doc -- Web: http://www.sff.net/people/N7DR
