Really? It took me some work to get it right, but it doesn't seem any worse
than pinning under apt-get - which _still_ has problems.

I haven't come across such a situation, but perhaps the next time I have
aptitude wanting to remove all of KDE I'll try using apt-get and see if it
works better. Thanks for the tip.
