Quanta 3.4 crashes after about one minute

Hello list,

I've recently upgraded to the experimental packages of KDE 3.4, which work
pretty fine after some initial glitches. One thing that does remain is that
Quanta crashes frequently (i'd say about a minute after it has been started,
even if it's being unused).

I've been able to reproduce this behaviour on multiple computers.

Here's a backtrace (as given by kcrash, tho i think it's pretty pointless due
to no debugging symbols)

-------------------------------------------------

I can give an strace, it looks very weird since it keeps doing tons of
gettimeofday() calls, and in the end crashes with BAD FILE DESCRIPTOR's...

If anyone has any idea, i'll welcome all :)
