Wrong workaround. You cannot solve a problem by using the wrong setting in 
other modules, which in turn are automatic in most "modern" cases:

The XFree DPI must reflect the actual monitor DPI, for example mine is 
(95, 96). This setting is currently adjusted automatically by some 
drivers[*] using the EDID info.

"If the discover, mdetect and read-edid packages are installed, this 
package's configuration script will use them to attempt automatic 
configuration of the X server based on your information returned by your 
video card, mouse, and monitor. "
