I installed debian 3.0r1 onto a desktop and a laptop and have the same problem with both...when loggen in as a user I have no sound. I know it's a permission problem (at least I think I do), but don't know where to look. I know this question has been asked but I couldn't find it in the archives. How do I set the permissions for sound to all users? When logged on as root everything works fine. Thanks, Jay
