KDE 3.1.1a: error loading kdeprint_lpd

I've just upgraded to KDE 3.1.1a, using the debs at
deb http://download.uk.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/latest/Debian/ woody main

Everything seems to be working just perfectly (very nice :-), except for
the printing configuration.

When I start the printing control panel, I get the following error:


There was an error loading kdeprint_lpd. The diagnostic is:
Library files for "kdeprint_lpd.la" not found in paths



Does anybody know what is causing this, and how I can cure it?
