There is a KDE3-on-Debian FAQ at http://www.davidpashley.com/debian-kde. You
should read that page and the pages that it refers to.
Once you have done that, you will be able to either proceed, or come back with
more specific questions about any part of it you are not sure of. As well as
this mailing list, you may like to join the #debian-kde channel on
irc.debian.org for more assistance.
