Hi all, I read in KC KDE (kt.zork.net) that there is a SSH kioslave for KDE which actually works. <g> So I made a Debian package. This actually works (first look was 100% succes). Imagine using things like fish://user@other.machine instead of FTP - file transfers completely encrypted and secure. :-) It's available at http://134.28.62.2/debian/ for download (or should be in the next couple hours). lintian still spits out some errors and warnings, like --------------------------------------------------------------------------- W: libkiofish1-dev: binary-or-shlib-defines-rpath ./usr/lib/kde2/kio_fish.so /usr/lib:/usr/X11R6/lib E: libkiofish1-dev: no-copyright-file W: libkiofish1-dev: executable-not-elf-or-script ./usr/lib/kde2/kio_fish.la E: libkiofish1-dev: shlib-with-executable-bit usr/lib/kde2/kio_fish.so 0755 E: libkiofish1: no-copyright-file W: libkiofish1: prerm-does-not-remove-usr-doc-link W: libkiofish1: postinst-does-not-set-usr-doc-link --------------------------------------------------------------------------- which were passed to the author. I guess "no-copyright-file" is for the author but I'd like advice on how to fix the other errors (I can guess what they mean but I don't know where to look). The package works (I had to remove the static part in debian/rules though) but I'd like it cleaned up. If all works out well, I'll keep making .deb's out of updates to this package. I don't know if it will be included in KDE3. This goes CC'ed to the author as well. -- Jens Benecke ········ http://www.hitchhikers.de/ - Europas Mitfahrzentrale Crypto regulations will only hinder criminals who obey the law.
