Re: Our own Alioth project

I discussed this further with Marcela on irc and concluded that it is
now time to make this happen. Therefore I have asked her to request the
creation of the Debian Jr. project on Alioth.

So long as Jr. only consisted of members of the CDD group, it made sense
to make it a subproject of that project on Alioth. But now that we have
"outside" help, there are contributors like Marcela who need to be
members of the Jr. Alioth project, but not necessarily the CDD project.

After this project is created, I will see to the migration of our files
between the CDD project and the new Jr. project.

My personal suggestion would be to use

     cdd/projects/junior

for the meta packages stuff.

This is more kind of a political reason. I really want to collect all
CDD-metapackage building stuff at this location to convince people to
use this stuff. If these files would be spread over the alioth archive
it would be even harder to convince people not to invent their own wheels.

BTW, my offer to port debian-jr packages to the latest cdd-dev packages
is just valid. I hesitated a little bit because I hoped to use the
new cdd-tool stuff but we do not have such stuff in our archive for
a long time and I guess this will not change in the near future. So
I continued using cdd-dev for the time beeing.

Kind regards

        Andreas.
