We are merely in Debian release limbo. While at one level I
feel this is a lame excuse for not pushing development ahead in
this project, at another, I feel justified. Debian Jr. will not
be "in the wild" until Woody is released. I am reluctant to build
much infrastructure on a system that few end users already have
in their hands. I would rather see an established base of users
of our meagre "1.0" offerings than rush through some half-baked
concepts (like the as-yet-unfinished menu ideas) to make it into
Woody. Once end users have installed what we have so far for
their children, we can then have meaningful dialog about what
improvements it needs.
