task-jr and jr-toys uploaded to auric
I have just uploaded task-jr and jr-toys to auric, or if you are
impatient, I have placed them at http://people.debian.org/~synrg/
I took wmaker and fvwm out of task-jr, so now it just has the base X
system, as I don't think we should dictate which window manager gets
installed. The base X system will list a bunch of alternatives anyway,
and our documentation will point out which ones we recommend, so it is up
to the individual sys admin to decide which to select (possibly even
ignoring our recommendations and going with something else). If you
installed my 1.0 preview of this package before, purge it and install
this one instead, as this one is the final.
As for jr-toys, I left out ktuberling because it drags in all the KDE
libraries and I think that is not a nice thing to do to someone who just
wants a small base install. I left out fortune due to the note to
ourselves that it should be polished a bit to display only jokes that
children would like. In its default configuration it is really more
suitable for mature users (older children, teens, adults).
I made task-jr "suggest" jr-toys instead of "recommend" or "depend", so
installing task-jr is not going to automatically bring in jr-toys, and the
suggestion won't even show up if you only use apt-get. You need to use
one of the front ends for the suggestion to even show up (i.e. dselect,
console-apt, etc.)
