Looking for a Linux System Administrator
Hi,
the Department of Physics at ETH Zurich is looking for a Linux System
Administrator for its IT Services Group, starting at 1st of Februar
2015 (negotiable).
Our team runs the department's file, mail, web, backup and database
servers (Linux, Windows, MacOS X). We also run the infrastructure for
automated installation and administration of Windows, MacOS X and
Linux clients and consult our users in IT related topics. Due to the
challenging environment we usually employ new technologies at a pretty
early stage.
You are proficient in one or more Unix derivatives (preferable
Debian), know scripting languages like Perl and Shell as well as
services like LDAP, and feel at home on the command line. You can
manage servers in production environments with high availability and
develop concepts which scale under high load. Additionally you like
working in a team, enjoy contact with people from all over the world
and understand and speak German fluently (at least level B2). English
is a requirement, too.
