[JOB] Python Developers, NYC | 90-110k or Contract

I have multiple full time/salaried or contract/hourly, 100% on-site, Python
Developer positions located in New York City paying a salary of $90,000 to
$110,000 or $40-$60/hour depending on experience + benefits. A slightly
higher salary or hourly rate might be possible for exceptional candidates.
No telecommuting allowed. US Citizens or Green Card holders only please.
Local candidates preferred, but qualified candidates interested in
relocating ok too. Relocation assistance provided. Full company details
provided to qualified applicants.

Our client is a very busy New York City studio, working on a wide range of
Fortune 500 to start-up clients from fashion and beauty, to pharmaceutical.
They have utilized, innovated, and enhanced a wide range of Django/Python
coding platforms across a number of sites, and are also very active in
mobile platforms and social aggregation tools. They are in immediate need
of back-end developers highly proficient in Python. They like to initiate
relationships with a one-month trial, but their goal is full time with the
right fit, and they will adjust this requirement for the right person. You
must be able to work on-site.

What to expect:

They are primarily a Mac shop, although they can accommodate Linux/Windows
users; however, you should be comfortable in a *NIX environment and should
have experience deploying production sites. They use Ubuntu 10.4 LTS,
Nginx/Apache/modwsgi, PostgreSQL and Django 1.2.x as their default
deployment environment for new projects, so you'll be working with the
latest and greatest. They do their best to have weekly developer meetings
where they discuss new technologies and how they might fit into the
deployment stack, sharing best practices, etc. They encourage contributing
back to the open source community.

Requirements:

* You should have a solid understanding of Python and Django preferred, but
will accept candidates willing to learn Django.
* You keep your code DRY as possible and as PEP8 compliant as practical and
have code samples to prove it.
* You should have a working knowledge of git or similar DVCS (we use git and
github.com for our projects).
* You should enjoy working in a team environment.

Nice to have:

Familiarity with Satchmo, django-cms, Haystack and the Django reusable app
eco-system in general. Any sysadmin skills you can bring to the table would
be a definite plus (installing, configuring and troubleshooting our
deployment stack).
