openjdk-17 in Bullseye not up to date

The Bulleyes release note [1] states that:
"Debian bullseye comes with an early access version of OpenJDK 17 (the next expected OpenJDK LTS version after OpenJDK 11), to avoid the rather tedious bootstrap process. The plan is for OpenJDK 17 to receive an update in bullseye to the final upstream release announced for October 2021, followed by security updates on a best effort basis, but users should not expect to see updates for every quarterly upstream security update. "
However, this version has not been updated since the Bullseye release (whereas the up to date version is available in testing).
There is a bug report [2] for this problem, but it seems to have been closed without any reason.
It's really dangerous to let people install an half-cooked version of openjdk-17, most of them would even not notice that this is a beta version. You can find lots of tutorials on the Internet explaining how to install openjdk-17 on Bullseye, and most of them does not warn the user that the version available in the Bullseye repository is outdated and should not be used.
Is an upgrade of openjdk-17 still planned for Bullseye?
