Ah okay. I don’t use all these tools (not even cvs-buildpackage
when I carried my packages, including CVS itself for which I am
maintainer ☻, in CVS), just the standard Debian tools like
dpkg-buildpackage, cowbuilder and straight git.
The magic may be useful, but this way helps me to better
understand what’s going on ;-)
Anyway, now, both ways are documented, and I’m informed that
they’re equivalent, so readers of the list archives may choose.
