Hi Remy,

Debian 10 Buster, the next version of Debian to be released next year,
will have OpenJDK 11 as the default JDK. OpenJDK 12 won't be part of the
release (it'll be EOL in March 2019 before the release). OpenJDK 13 and
later may be provided through the backports repository if someone
volunteers to do the work.

The Eclipse IDE is going to be removed. Nobody is actively maintaining
it and the version we have is 6 years old (and broken).

Regarding the build tools, we should have the latest versions of Ant and
Maven. Gradle is stuck at the version 4.4.1 (released in December 2017)
because the more recent version depend on Kotlin which isn't packaged
yet (and rather difficult to bootstrap).
