Hi all,
I'm pleased to announce that the transition to Tomcat 8 is now complete.
The tomcat7 source package still exists but builds only the Servlet API
3.0. This version of the Servlet API is no longer used in sid, but I
think it's a good idea to keep it a bit longer as a convenience for
creating future packages.
The next task on the Tomcat front before the freeze will be to upgrade
the package to the version 8.5. This update is important since it brings
HTTP/2 support. I plan to tackle this update later this month.
