debian/watch: uupdate or orig-tar.sh?

Hi,

I'm reviewing the watch files for the Apache Commons packages and I
noticed two styles, one using uupdate and the other calling the
debian/orig-tar.sh script.

For Commons VFS:

http://www.apache.org/dist/commons/vfs/source/commons-vfs-(.*)-src\.tar\.gz
debian uupdate

For Commons Collections:

http://www.apache.org/dist/commons/collections/source/
commons-collections-([\d\.]+)-src.tar.gz debian debian/orig-tar.sh


What is the recommended practice?
