10 packages/updates ready for pkg-java
Hello all,
First off, thanks for all the initial help and warm welcome. I've been doing Debian packaging for nearly a decade now (Lindows/Linspire and Canonical/Ubuntu) but am just now delving into pure Debian.
I joined Eucalyptus recently from Canonical, and we have a keen interest in not only getting Eucalyptus into Debian, which is an obvious win for us, but also becoming more involved with the Debian community as a whole, which is why they brought me on. Thanks to the friendly outreach of Steffen Moeller, I'll be attending DebianMED in January and FOSDEM in February and hope to see many of you there!
Now that I have sufficiently bored you, the purpose of my email is to announce 10 packages/updates (mostly updates, as pkg-java has impressively covered most of the important libs) I have prepared for Debian that are needed by our soon-to-be-released Eucalyptus 3.x:
