Sid is always dangerous for newbies. If you know what to do its okay to
use Eclipse productive. Personally I use it for my daily work.

Emf is not part of the Eclipse SDK. Its an extra plugin. We are
currently working on it and it will hopefully be in debian soon.

kaffe development is not stalled. Its very active. They just not release
very often. ;-)
