I agree completely. That is the definition of main, isn't it?

I'm not so sure. Some programs have optional guis that don't really do
much - I'd rather see them in main. 

As an example, take a look at bugwatcher (my program). This is in main
(debbuggtk). Although it works with gcj, it is very slow; running with
j2se1.4 is far better. Do you think that this doesn't deserve to go in
main?
