/var/log/tomcat/stdout.log
I'm running debian woody 3.0 with tomcat 3.3 and blackdown JDK1.1,
all the 'stable' .deb packages.
When tomcat is running, which it is by default when apache starts, upon
booting my machine.
It writes to the /var/log/tomcat/stdout.log file at an incredible rate.
if i view with: tail -f /var/log/tomcat/stdout.log i get several
screenfulls of information every 3 seconds or so. After about an hour
of running the log file will grow to about 22M!?
That does not seem like acceptable behaviour for any process running
correclty!?
here's a truncated sample:

It appears that these are the 'offending' most recuring error's:
PoolTcpEndpoint: Endpoint ServerSocket[addr=0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0,port=0,localport=8081] ignored exception: java.net.SocketException: Socket closed
java.net.SocketException: Socket closed
-ok i got it there's sockets closed, should they be closed? how do i open
them or minimize this out of control error log?
Other then this, my installation seems to be working ok though.
thanks in advance.
