kinput2-wnn - use Wnn as Kana Kanji conversion backend
kinput2-canna - use Canna as Kana Kanji conversion backend
kinput2-wnn-canna - use both Wnn/Canna as Kana Kanji conversion backend

Yes, we usually use US ASCII keyboard to input Japanese characters.
