Grazie per il test suggerito:
Ho provato "anacron -d" e anacron viene eseguito.
Ho anche provato "/usr/sbin/invoke-rc.d anacron start" e viene eseguito.
Quello che non funziona e`:
[ -x /etc/init.d/anacron ] && if [ ! -d /run/systemd/system ]; then /usr/sbin/invoke-rc.d anacron start; fi
perche', evidentemente, /run/systemd/system esiste!
Ma forse mi sfugge qualcos'altro.
