Sembra che il Fast Bios Mode mascheri un pò di cose.
Purtroppo nel menu Advanced non c'è più la voce Fast Bios Mode o similari...

In questo secondo suggerimento sembra che l'avvio da USB sia "nascosto"
dentro il Boot Device Priority, dove dovrebbe apparirti anche la tua
pendrive/lettore USB se preventivamente collegata al netbook.
Purtroppo ho già anche dato priorità maggiore ai vari tipi di device USB
ma il problema è che non vengono rivelati dal bios: in sata HDD vedo
l'ID dell'hd installato ma negli altri dispositivi c'è soltanto un N/A.
E anche grub come dicevo non lo rileva (dal prompt di grub un ls mostra
solo le partizioni dell'HD...)
Ma ritornando in topic come fa plop[¹] a fare il boot da usb? Non posso
creare una voce nel grub dell'hd in modo da fare il boot da CD?
3> Il terzo suggerimento, e quello migliore, rompi le uova
all'assistenza segnalando il problema :), magari hanno *fiondato* un
aggiornamento bios compilato e impacchettato frettolosamente....
non ci avevo pensato anche perché il netbook è abbondantemente fuori
garanzia (è del 2012). Comunque gli ho appena scritto, vediamo un po'
cosa rispondono...
