help on xorg configuration

Hi,
I am a new linux user and many people talk me very good of debian so I
decided to install it on my AMD64.

1- I downloaded the iso dvd from the debian web page
2- I have installed it

BUT

3- xserver is out of order
4- I try to reconfigure xorg with:

dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

setting a generic vesa driver but the result is bad!!!

there is a problem with my ATI Radeon X550!!!!!


Can someone help me to fix this problem?
