Per gestire ups sotto linux puoi provare a vedere questi due programmi:

http://www2.apcupsd.com/
http://www.networkupstools.org/

oppure

$ apt-cache search ups | grep -i " ups "

upsd - UPS Monitor Program via serial interface
wmnut - WindowMaker dock app that displays UPS statistics from NUT's upsd

personalmente uso apcupsd con un ups della apc.
