Ho provato ad installare sul desktop il kernel 2.4.27 con apt-get: e' 
andato tutto una meraviglia. Finalmente e' comparso sd_mod ed anche ehci. 
Ora all'avvio posso scegliere con quale kernel partire 2.4.18 o 2.4.27.
Ho dovuto pero' fare un artificio per poter lavorare con il lettore DVD ed 
il masterizzatore CD in quanto il kernel anziche' 2 me ne vede molti di 
piu'. Posso montare questi devices chiamandoli /dev/scd6 e /dev/scd13 
rispettivamente.

ho provato anche a dare all'avvio il comando  max_scsi_luns=1 ma senza 
nessun risultato.
Ad ogni modo questo non e' un problema. Ho provato a leggere vari HOWTO ma 
non ho trovato nulla. Ora provero' ad installare il 2.4.27 sul portatile...

Un ultima cosa: perche' dev/hda in alcune occasioni e' definito 
/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0 ? Anche qui non sono riuscito a trovare 
nulla. Forse non sono ancora bravo a cercare...

Ringrazio per gli aiuti ricevuti e per quelli che verranno. Spero di poter 
dare anch'io aiuto a qualcuno, ma il mio attuale livello di conoscenze non 
me lo consente ancora.
