kppp da utente

Sto tentando di rendere avviabile kppp da utente in una testing.
Da root funziona.
L'utente è nel gruppo dip.

Errore di kppp:
Il demone pppd ha interrotto la connessione in modo inaspettato!
Valore ritornato: 2
(cioè: 2      An error was detected in processing the options given, such as 
two mutually exclusive options being used.)

ppp log:
Impossibile aprire i seguenti file di log:
/var/log/syslog.ppp
/var/log/syslog
/var/log/messages

Posso avere un suggerimento?
