REQUIRED INFORMATION FOR USENT/NEWSGROUP REPORTS

Please identify the 'NNTP posting host' IP address or hostname when reporting Usenet violations.
If you are reporting newsgroup abuse, please be aware that our Acceptable Use Policy allows up to 9 cross posts as long as they are "on topic".
If a post violates the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) or Charter for a newsgroup you need to provide us with the link to the FAQ's or Charter.

Additionally, newsgroups are a public forum and Shaw does NOT get involved with or attempt to mediate "flame wars," "name calling," or other similar disputes.

For unauthorized access attempts (scanning, attacks, etc.), we require a detailed system or firewall log file of the incident. 
This should include as raw a log as you have available including the source and destination port, the source and destination IP address and/or hostnames, and Time/Date stamp with time zone. Please be sure to ONLY include relevant sections of the log file and a short description of the incident.
