Il kernel e' responsabile della creazione della directory /proc, infatti
/proc non esiste "fisicamente" sull'hd (infatti basta vedere che ha
dimensione 0) e' una directory virtuale, ma estremamente importante da cui
si possono trarre dati interessanti come per esempio:
cpuinfo, devices, filesystems, interrupts, meminfo, ecc, ecc.
Per poter visualizzare questi dati basta usare cat, cioe', per esempio:
$ cat /proc/filesystem
che fornisce i seguenti dati:
ext2
minix
msdos
nodev proc
iso9660
vfat
Che sono appunto i filesystem presenti nel kernel (sia interni che come
moduli)
Probabilmente c'e' qualche problema nel kernel o meglio nei moduli ....
Prova dare un'occhiata anche ai messaggi iniziali del kernel con:
$ dmesg | less ....
Eventualmente puoi sempre ri-installare il kernel .... :-)
