Ho un paio di problemi da risolvere
Salve a tutti, questa è la prima volta che scrivo.
Colgo l'occasione per salutare tutti e ringraziare già da ora per
l'aiuto che mi darete.
Ho un paio di cosette da chiedere (ho Debian Woody -MITTICAAAA-):
1) Ho un masterizzatore Waitec Storm40. Il kernel l'ho ricompilato
(2.4.21), tutti i vari moduli ide-scsi etc.. sono a posto (il kernel,
insomma dovrebbe essere ok). Tuttavia cdrdao dice che non c'è un driver
che vada bene per il mio cdwriter (lo riconosce però, conferma che il
kernel è a posto) e anche cdrecord si lamenta e non scrive nulla. La mia
domanda è: aggiornare cdrecord alla versione 2.0 dovrebbe risolvere il
problema o no (ora è 1.10)? Chiedo perchè apt mi spara 13 Mb tra
dipendenze varie, e magari non ottengo nulla (connessione 56k - sapete
com'è).
2) La mia scheda video è Geforce 4. Ho installato driver e fatto tutte
le modifiche correttamente, da documentazione. Quando però entro in X e
poi torno alla modalità testuale, i font di quest'ultima sono sballati e
il testo trasborda fuori dallo schermo. Col kernel Debian mi sembrava
ciò non accadesse. Che opzione non ho messo nella configurazione?
Confrontando col config di Debian si fa fatica a capire, visto che le
opzioni sono quasitutte selezionate.
E' forse dovuto invece al driver Nvidia? O a font non caricati in
modalità testuale?
Allego il log ricavato da /var/log/gdm/\:0.log.4 (magari chi è esperto
lo sa esaminare -prendo il log.4 perchè mi sembra quello con più roba.
Non so in che differisca dagli altri con 1,2,3. Io capisco qualcosa, ma
non so risolvere il problema). E' infondo alla mail, vista la lunghezza.
3) Qualcuno ha esperienza con rivatv, il tool che permette di usare la
scheda tv integrata con le schede Nvidia? Io ho un "Gainward Geforce4
Pro 650 TV Golden Sample" e non riesco a farla partire, non trova
/dev/video0 (ma c'è in /dev). Un log interessante è (da dmesg):
