gestione IRQ e altro
Dottori carissimi,
mi rivolgo di nuovo a voi... e nuovamente mi scuso per i miei buchi di
cultura linux che mi portano a interpellevarvi su cose magari banali.
Ho fatto il mio 4° pc con la debian, è un pc con winXP, ho voluto
provare a fare un dual boot, cosa che non avevo ancora fatto, ed è
andato tutto egregiamente. Siccome è un pc ad uso "desktop" ho da
configurare un sacco di cose tra cui scheda audio, scanner, usb,
stampate e compagnia bella... tutte cose che con i server non si hanno.
La prima cosa che ho dovuto fare è stato andare nel BIOS e cambiare la
voce "plug and play os" da sì a no. INfatti, prima che era impostata a
sì, non riuscivo ad installare nessun modulo del kernel, nemmeno quello
per la gestione della scheda di rete, ogni volta falliva. Avevo provato
a fare lspci per vedere gli IRQ e mi dava irq0 di tutte le
periferiche... dopo aver settato questa opzione del bios a no, facendo
lspci i valori di irq avevano preso ... forma, ad esempio la scehda di
rete era diventato 11 e sono riuscito ad installare il modulo relativo.
Il problema è che ora sembra che tutte le schede o quasi abbiano irq11
(V. di seguito copia output) e questa è una cosa che non capisco... E'
normale? Inoltre, ad esempio, e venendo al concreto, adesso devo
installare il modulo per la scheda audio, l'ho trovato e installato ma
dopo essere andata per un po' si blocca, come succede tipicamente quando
c'è un conflitto di irq...
Dunque io qui non ci capisco niente e sto andando a tentativo ma mi
piacerebeb moltissimo che qcuno mi illustrasse i fondamenti della
gestione hardware. I miei quesiti in particolare sarebbero i seguenti:
- ho fatto bene a cambiare quella impostazione del BIOS?
- come faccio ad assegnare un irq diverso alle varie periferiche
(considerando che le periferiche attuali non hanno dei jumper come le
vecchie ISA ma si fanno configurare dal sistema operativo)?
- come faccio a passare dei parametri ai moduli al momento in cui
vengono caricati nel kernel? Io uso modconf, ho provato a dargli delle
cose tipo irq=8 es. ma non me li prendono... Anche ammettendo che io
trovi la sintassi giusta, sarebbe corretto procedere in questo modo?
- quasi sono le utility che debbo utilizzare dopo modprobe, insmod,
lspci e simili?
Grazie di tutto. So che esiste documentazione e ho provato a darci
un'occhiata ma probabilmente ho bisogno di un aiuto un po' più basico.
