Continuando con la sperimentazione ho provato reinstallando debian ma il
problema rimane...
Ora pero' ho scoperto queste due cose:
facendo cat /var/log/messages | grep NVRM ottengo:

Tutto questo anche usando Options "NvAGP" "3" in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4.
Nel kernel ho compilato sia l'agpgart che il DRI come stabili (ma il DRI
non lo carico, cosi' come non carico GLcore, come da README nvidia).
Uso il framebuffer ma lo usavo anche prima di questo errore e sto usando
gcc3.2.3pre6 che e' compreso in sid.
L'altro ieri (giorno dell'ultimo funzionamento di X) ho aggiornato il
BIOS... potrebbe essere questo?
