errore di libreria

Salve a Tutti
ho un problema all'avvio di nautilus (nautilus2):
/usr/bin/nautilus 
FAMOpen failed, FAMErrno=0
FAMOpen failed, FAMErrno=0
FAMOpen failed, FAMErrno=0
/usr/bin/nautilus: relocation error: /usr/lib/libpangoft2-1.0.so.0:
undefined symbol: FT_Get_First_Char

ho provato a scaricare i sorgenti deb libpango1.0-0 a cui la suddetta libreria
appartiene e li ho ricompilati e installati, ma niente! 
Rispetto alla versione Garnome Gnome2(debian) non completa il processo di
avvio e mi appare una box d'errore:
there was an error starting the gnome setting daemon
failed to activate 'OAFIID:GNOME_SettingDaemon
mi manca forse qualcosa che ancora non ho installato?
