Io ho una rete casalinga con due PC di cui uno collegato al modem ADSL
(ethernet).
Per questo modem basta avere il pacchetto pppoe (credo che sia un
pacchetto installato di default). Poi ho installato ipmasq
che mi configura automaticamente le iptables al momento in cui il modem
si collega. Io uso il kernel 2.4. Nel kernel devono essere installati
alcuni moduli. Io nel file di configurazione del kernel ho (pero' puoi
installarli come moduli):

Il modem e' attaccato al dispositivo eth1 e la rete locale a eth0.
