I have more on this now. It happens without xen... I re-enabled RA on
my test LAN. I have configured :
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address 193.239.33.245
netmask 255.255.255.128
gateway 193.239.33.129
dns-nameservers 193.239.32.10
iface eth0 inet6 static
address 2a02:c30:20:1::245
netmask 64
gateway 2a02:c30:20:1::1
If I run ifconfig eth0 down && sleep 2 && ifup eth0, then the computer
picks up the address I list in the interfaces file. If I reboot, then
I get a RA address (or no address when RA/autoconfig is turned off.)
This is on a clean, brand new Debian install 5.0.2.
Why is boot time behaviour different to a manual down/up ? And this
is clearly broken, what to do to fix ?
