actually, having bashisms in /bin/sh scripts has been considered a bug for a
long time (before etch). I've seen discussion about ash being the /bin/sh
long time ago. In such case, lenny can some with dash as /bin/sh and your
requirement will be satisfied :)
Note that nobody wants bash to be deprecated/disabled, or deny anyone using
it (probably even as /bin/sh ). It even may be installed by default
(although it may be possible to remove it).
