Wired DHCP problems (ISC dhcpd3)

Hi!

Since this morning we´re experiencing some wired problems with our DHCP
server running on a sarge box.

The server and the trouble-client are in the same network/vlan.
When booting the client an attemping PXE-Boot the client send out
DHCP-DISCOVER packages which are answered by the server with OFFERs
(regarding to the logfile).

The client continues to send DISCOVERS for a while but does not send a
REQUEST (In one of many many boots, it does but we don´t know why).

If you boot the box via boot-floppy the linux dhclient works correctly.

The DHCP-Server itself seems to work correctly, as other maschines querying
via some relays work normal.

All machines are connected to cisco 2950 and 3560 Switches, which
mac-address-tables have been cleared with no result.
(The client port as 'spanning-tree portfast' activated.)

Does anyone have any idea what´s wrong here?

Ciao
Max
