Re: afbackup VS amanda

Hello Tom,

A few years ago I used for a year amanda with very good results. Very stable and easy to mantain, both the backup and the recovery.

Amanda can backup unix and linux hosts and Windows using samba-client, and works using mails as a reminder of media change. That was something very important for me, because I'm a little forgetful about the todo things.

I can't say anything about afbackup or the current version of amanda, but I have a very good feel about the amanda solution.

I hope this message help you.

Good luck.

afbackup VS amanda

Hello

I would like to implement a backup server in my network.

Can you tell me which backup software is the best to use and at the same
the most supported with a lot of features and ease of configuration.

Thank you in advance

Tom C.
