Bind Redundant master server for single zone file.

Hi

For the DNS experts on the list.

I am running a dynamic DNS server using "www.dhis.org" client and server
programs (which are packaged for Debian). It works very nicely.

Now I am trying to setup a second, redundant server, so if the one
fails, clients can still get their DNS updated when via the other. The
dhis-server code happily supports redundant servers. It in turn uses
"nsupdate" to update the DNS zone info in bind.

But bind seems to want one master name server, and slave servers as
required. The updates are all done on the master server. The trouble is
I now have a single point of failure with the master name server.

Is it possible to setup two bind servers such that they can both be
"master" for the same zone, and update each other as a master would
update a slave when ever the zone file is modified?

(The dhis.org site looks very quite, and I got a bounce message from
their mailing list server, hence I will start asking here. If you can
suggest a better forum to ask this question, please let me know).

Thanks

Ian
