Doesn't Spam always increase during the holidays ?
I have been getting pages from MON indicating
that email gateways have been getting hit also.
The best way I have found to reduce it is with greylisting (postgrey).
Also, we firewall the troublemakers. That only appear on weekends and
holidays.
