I have Postfix running chroot'd and using SASL. This article is helpful - search the page for "SASL": http://www.fatofthelan.com/articles/articles.php?pid=22

Install Domain Technologie Control, it will install, configure, and maintain the SASL db for you, as well as amavis + clamav + spamassassin + courier-maildrop (using a SPAM imap folder to quarantine spams).
