Oops!

/etc/maildropmysql.config was 600 and owned by root.root.
Fixing the ownership (vmail.vmail) and voila, it works.
This update of maildrop was for it not dropping root perms properly, guess it works now =)

However, now my logs are full of "temporary failure. Command output: maildrop: signal 0x0B" errors, as is the mailq
No mail is being delivered.
