Hi all,
I had to reload my notebook, and now I'm trying to restore my mail. I
had cyrus-imap running before. I made a tarball of the whole
/var/spool/cyrus directory, and restored that after reloading. Then I
logged into cyradm as user cyrus and ran:
reconstruct user.hansdp
Try (if you are root), if user cyrus owns the mailboxes:
/usr/bin/sudo -u cyrus /usr/cyrus/bin/reconstruct -f -r user.hansdp
or as the cyrus user
/usr/cyrus/bin/reconstruct -f -r user.hansdp
On my cyrus setup I have /var/spool/imap (mailboxes) and /var/imap (db
files that control the mailboxes, quotas, etc).
Did you backup both ?? Or just your mailboxes ?
It didn't change much, cyrus would still only see my inbox, none of the
subfolders.
I'm obviously doing this wrongly. What is the correct way to restore a
cyrus mailbox?
Thanks
Hans
