1.6 GB? If the network guys are blocking ftp, they will probably notice that much data going across the network. Perhaps burning it to DVD would be more efficient?
i think the same. Anyway if the it staff have put a proxy in the network to serve web content you can try the connect method, encapsulating ftp traffic over http requests.
