Re: control panel
Hi,
I've really started working on this system yesterday :)
In fact I'm working with Debian for an ISP for 4 years and I've
simply applied what I use for 3000 websites to a single server.
The MTA is exim4 and pop/imap is provided by courier
I've tried postfix with a good documentation but I wasn't able
to get vacation and server-side filtering working (exim sieve filters)
Also, I don't want to use MySQL because the management system should
be completely independant from the application system (what if the
customer
delete the configuration database or break MySQL).
here are the base ideas:
- NO modification to debian packages and no unofficial package
- no usage of application services (apache, PHP, MySQL ..), maybe
sqlite
for keeping some informations.
- powerful intergation to web administration interface (XML-RPC or
SOAP)
- security with suid wrappers in C
- no delay in system configuration, it's not intended for +100
domains so we
can apply modifications directly
There is no documentation yet but I've planed to create a website (wiki)
Name: ezAdmin ... or better ...

Hi,
I've started a simple configuration system based on Debian Sarge. It

Sounds very promising! Are you documenting this somewhere while you
progress?
