actually, it's morons who can't interpret (or wilfully misinterpret)
plain english who have turned this thread into a trolling exercise.

you're about the third person who's made this stupid accusation.

what the fuck is it with everyone? are you all too fucking stupid to
understand plain english? or do you just habitually stuff words in
other people's mouths because it's easier to argue against your own
words than someone else's?

why is it that my statement that (paraphrased) "one of the reasons why i
won't use djbdns is that it isn't backwards compatible with bind" is
translated as a demand that djb drops everything and implements that
capability just because i want it?

i've never once demanded that he implement that. i've never even asked
him to do it. i frankly don't care whether he does or not (although i'm
much more likely to give djbdns another go if he does), and i've seen
enough of djb over the years to know that there is absolutely no point
in ever asking him to implement anything that he hasn't thought of first
or that might require him to concede that there is some small value in
backwards-compatibility.

all i've done is state why i won't use djbdns, list some of it's flaws
as i see them, and observe that djbdns might be more successful if it
was backwards-compatible with bind.

if you want to interpret that as some kind of a demand then that's your
problem. i'm not responsible for your comprehension difficulties.

btw, i have learnt the tinydns-data format. i know how it works, i can
read it and i can write it. i simply don't like it. i consider it to be
ugly and error-prone, so i don't use djbdns.
