this is not strictly DNS related, but this statement is obviously
wrong:

- Bigger systems do have R&D staff (or at least should have) that
  can experiment with software.
- In several contexts I see bigger systems change exactly their
  software. How do you propose to switch from Windows to Linux
  if not by changing software? Or do you propose staying with
  Windows? As for DNS, I see it happen, and I see people turning
  large shops (>100000 domains) away from BIND.
